Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 25, 2025
Page2Table AI ("we", "our") takes your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information and data when you use our Chrome extension ("Extension").
1. Data Collection
1.1 Web Content Data
To provide data extraction and analysis services, our extension collects the following data:
- HTML Content: When you use the extension to analyze a webpage, we read the HTML content of the current webpage. This content is only collected when you actively click the "Convert Current Page" button.
- Webpage URL: We collect the URL of the webpage you are analyzing for generating data extraction schemas and cache management.
- User Instructions: If you provide custom extraction instructions, we collect these instructions to improve analysis results.
Important Note: We only read webpage content when you explicitly operate. The extension does not automatically collect any data in the background.
1.2 User Identity Information
To provide user authentication and service management, we use Google OAuth 2.0 for login:
- Email Address: We only collect your Google email address for user identification and account management.
We do not collect your Google password, display name, or other sensitive information. Google login is only used for user authentication and credit management.
1.3 Usage Data
To provide service statistics and limit management, we record:
- Daily AI analysis call count
- Data extraction schema usage
- Error logs (for service improvement)
2. Data Usage
2.1 AI Analysis Processing
Collected HTML content is sent to our server for AI (LLM) analysis:
- Analysis Purpose: HTML content is used to generate data extraction schemas and identify table and list structures on webpages.
- Processing Method: HTML content is sent to our server via encrypted transmission, then forwarded to third-party AI service providers for analysis.
- Data Retention: Original HTML content is immediately deleted from server memory after AI analysis is complete and will not be persistently stored. We only save the data extraction schemas (Schema) generated after analysis, which do not contain original webpage content.
Data Security Commitment: We promise not to store your original webpage HTML content. Only the data extraction schemas generated after analysis will be saved for rapid processing of similar pages in the future.
2.2 Data Extraction Schema Cache
To improve service efficiency and reduce costs, we cache data extraction schemas:
- Cached schemas only contain data structure information (such as field names, selectors, etc.) and do not contain any original webpage content.
- These schemas are used to identify similar webpage structures for quick reuse and to avoid repeated analysis.
2.3 User Identity Usage
Google login information is only used for:
- User authentication and account management
- Daily usage limit and credit management
- Service statistics and user support
We will not use your identity information for any other purpose, nor will we share it with third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
The extension uses browser local storage to save:
- Extracted data tables
- Data relationships
- Extraction schemas
All local data is completely stored on your device, and we cannot access this data.
3.2 Server Storage
The server only stores:
- User account information (email address)
- Data extraction schemas (Schema, does not contain original content)
- Usage logs (call count, dates, etc.)
All server data is encrypted and protected with industry-standard security measures.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Third-Party AI Service Providers: For webpage content analysis. HTML content is temporarily sent to AI service providers for analysis and deleted immediately after analysis is complete. We may switch between different AI service providers based on service quality and availability.
- Google OAuth: For user authentication. We only obtain your email address.
These service providers have their own privacy policies, and we recommend that you review their privacy policies for more information.
4.2 No Data Sale
We solemnly promise: We will not sell, rent, or trade any of your data (including webpage content, user information, usage data, etc.) to any third party.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may only disclose your information in the following circumstances:
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Protecting our rights and property
